Off-road pants are cut to move with your knees while standing on the pegs, with reinforced seat and knee panels for falls. Adventure and road pants lean towards comfort and weatherproofing over a full day's touring, often with a removable liner so one pair works across seasons. Whichever style, check for CE-rated armour pockets even if the pant doesn't come with armour included — easier to add protection later than buy a second pair.
