A CVT drive belt is a wear item that's easy to overlook until it fails mid-ride — worth checking for cracking or glazing at each service interval, especially if your machine sees a lot of hot, dusty running where belts wear faster. Coolant hoses are worth a visual check for the same reason, since a split hose under pressure is a fast way to overheat an engine.
